After half a year of attending the Princess Street Red River campus I thought I had tried all the good, cheap, and close lunch spots; then out of the blue I was asked to shoot a photo of the Grace Cafe for the school newspaper. I quickly bundled up and headed over to City Hall where the quaint little cafeteria style restaurant is located. I didn’t really know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. A modern twist has been put on the cafeteria style restaurant. The City Hall location is one of two Grace Cafes in the city, the other one is on Henderson, and is the original location.
The Turkey Bacon Clubhouse at the Grace is hands down the nicest looking club Iv ever had. The colors scream off the plate, and it tastes amazing. It is a triple decker, with your choice of bread, and stuffed with all the fixins of a classic clubhouse. Turkey (processed), tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and their special garlic and herb infused mayo make this club a delight. For $7.95 you get the sandy and a pickle on the side.
The Grace Cafe is quick, cheap, delicious, and hella close to school. If you got a couple extra pennies in ur pocket, skip subway and keep walking to the Grace.
